Getting to and Around Washington, D.C.

Getting to and around Washington, D.C. during the 2009 Electricity Storage Association Conference is easy!

Washington, D.C. has three major airports: Washington Dulles International (IAD), Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) and Baltimore-Washington International (BWI). All have daily nonstop flights throughout the United States, with IAD and BWI servicing international markets.

Getting from the airports to the Grand Hyatt Washington is easy and you have a few options.

The Washington Dulles International is located about 27 miles outside of the capital, in Chantilly, Virginia, a 35- to 45-minute ride to downtown in non-rush-hour traffic. The uncongested airport access road travels half the distance toward Washington, D.C.
This airport handles more daily flights than DCA and BWI.

The Ronald Reagan Washington National lies across the Potomac River in Virginia, approximately 5 miles by car, 15 minutes by Metro from downtown in non-rush-hour traffic. Its proximity to the District and its direct access to the Metro rail system are reasons why you might want to fly into National.
